Huntington Wine Cellars is proud to distinguish itself as a Producteur of fine varietal wines from Northern California. The first American winery to use this designation, derived from the French term meaning ‘Producer’, Huntington combines the time-honored traditions of a Negociant with those of a traditional bricks-and-mortar winery. Huntington’s many advantages as a Producteur include the flexibility to produce various varieties and blends of wine in small quantities, while at the same time providing the close attention to detail of an estate winery.

Huntington wines are produced from small lots of select varietal grapes from several unique vineyard sources in Northern California. The Russian River Valley, Alexander Valley, and Napa Valley are home to the grapes that produce Huntington Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The steady sources of premium fruit under contract to Huntington ensure that the wines consistently represent estate-bottled quality.

The wines of Huntington Wine Cellars are masterfully created and blended by winemaker, Kerry Damskey. Using state-of-the-art crushing, fermentation and winemaking equipment from well-known Sonoma County wineries, the Huntington wines are created utilizing the flexibility of a wide range of winemaking techniques not often available to the average small winery. Under Kerry’s watchful eye and owner Bill Leigon’s direction, the Huntington wines receive the attention to detail normally associated with the production of a limited estate wine. The wines of Huntington consistently receive numerous media media accolades and awards from some of the most prestigious wine competitions.
